Account Executive - Ticket Sales - Jacksonville Armada FC (Jacksonville, FL)

The Jacksonville Armada FC is a professional soccer team that competes in Jacksonville, FL as a member of the NASL. This position is ideal for candidates driven to become the best sports business leaders in the industry. Candidates that have the highest success rate in this position are those that are entrepreneurial, creative, and determined to succeed. Your primary responsibility will be to create relationships and generate revenue through multiple channels including; phone calls, face to face meetings, and networking.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  1. Responsible for generating maximum revenue for the team through the full menu marketing of ticket programs.
  2. Sell full-seasons, partial season plans, and group packages for the team. Meet and exceed all sales goals.
  3. Create and develop new business by regularly pitching new prospects through phone prospecting, external appointments and networking events.
  4. Plan and coordinate group events
  5. Manage all personal accounts and work with the fan relations department to provide the highest level of customer service throughout the season.
  6. Game night responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting with sales initiatives and prospecting for new clients at the match.
  7. Attend outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages in conjunction with the marketing department.
  8. Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and closed sales.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  2. Prior experience in ticket sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques.
  3. Strength in time management, administrative ability, organization, and customer service skills.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a professional manner.
  5. Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and ability to learn and master new software programs.

Summary/Objective
Position involves (outbound) sales of Season Tickets/Corporate Suites/Specialty Club/Group Sales packages via telephone and in person. Candidate will be required to prospect for additional sales leads in and around the greater Miami market. May be required to make face-to-face presentations to high profile prospects. Position requires extensive product knowledge, policies/procedures of Miami FC and all ticket package offerings.

Position will demand objectivity, integrity, flexibility and dependability when interacting with Season Ticket, Group Accounts, and prospects. Interaction with all internal Miami FC Box Office ticketing personnel required. Candidate must display ability to work independently, set/achieve personal sales goals.

Position Purpose
The Street Team is a part time role responsible for representing the organization and also establishing relationships with organizations to develop grass roots marketing opportunities to promote the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Street Team members are expected to have a positive outgoing attitude as well as a diligent and detail oriented work ethic. ·      Lead and instruct Rowdies soccer clinics at local schools, after school programs, and community centers.
·      Provide marketing presence at Rowdies community outreach appearances at festivals, fairs and other events as needed.
·      Provide staffing assistance on Rowdies home game nights by staffing concourse tables, fulfilling fan experiences, assisting with youth soccer intermissions, etc. as needed.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential function of the job.

·      Reside in the Tampa Bay area
·      Must be available to work 10+ hours a week including days, evenings, weekends, and events as needed

Freelance Web Editor/Graphic Designer - The New York Cosmos (Garden City, NY)

Position Purpose:

The Web Editor/Graphic Designer for NYCosmos.com will oversee the production of online multimedia content and development for the official Club website and mobile platforms. The position will also be responsible for overseeing the team’s social media platform and execution of the team’s digital PR and marketing campaigns.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis for match days and breaking team-related news.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining content offering for the site.
  • Generating story ideas, editing multiple stories, working with team staff writers and videographers.
  • Producing and publishing the team’s news and features and making judgments on story content.
  • Packaging content into integrated offerings with the team’s broadcast partners.
  • Edit copy to meet established club tone and guidelines, theme, accuracy, style and consistency requirements. Write copy along those same guidelines and enhance existing material.
  • Publish content to NYCosmos.com using our Content Management System, and work with our technical production group to QA the site and report bugs.
  • Responsible for managing the team’s videographers and producing/editing the content for Cosmos TV and the New York Cosmos YouTube channel.
  • Help oversee the team’s social media efforts and manage its social media platforms in support of the team’s overall goals.
  • Explore and identify ways to integrate social media into marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for helping to devise and execute the team’s digital PR and marketing campaigns.
  • Must be a hands-on contributor who can efficiently develop digital marketing materials for digital partnerships and promotions.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • BA/BS degree or higher preferred in English, Journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of editorial experience and a background in sports editorial.
  • A strong working knowledge of soccer, and in particular U.S. soccer, would be advantageous.
